Curriculum and Career Plans

I have been a student at TCC since Spring 2000 and have attended every semester since. I am pursuing my AAS in Early Childhood Development. Upon completion of Spring 2002 semester I will have 5 classes remaining before I graduate from TCC. After graduating I will continue to take classes at TCC that will transfer to ODU. Once transferring to ODU I plan to have my BS in Education in 3 years. It will take me more time than the average student because I am a part-time student. My future career plans are to open a Laundromat and use the profits to build a daycare/preschool. Although I will be the Director of this daycare/preschool, my plans are not to spend the majority of my time in the classroom. My plans are far in the future because I am in the Navy and have a while before I finish my enlistment.

Personal

I am a mother of four, two that are mind and two that are my husband’s. We have 3 sons that are 1, 6, and 11 in age and one daughter that is 6. I have been in the Navy for 10 years and my spouse is also military and has been in 13 years. I have no personal time to myself because work, being a wife, school, and motherhood all keep me busy. Although I am a very busy woman I always make time for my family.

College Activities

Unfortunately, I am not able to participate in any TCC activities because I have such a busy schedule.
