Curriculum and Career Plans

My plan and goal is to graduate from Tidewater Community College in the registered Nursing Program.  For a period of time I ws not sure of what I wanted to do with my life.  And if anyone had asked me why I did not pursue a career in nursing like my mother I would have probably made an unpleasant look on my face and say that it was not for me.  I have been a person to always trying improve myself and have always turned to my mother for advice whenever I needed.  She has bee an inspiration to me.  As The Woman Who Changed My Life she has been an essential support in my life.

This 2001 fall semester it has bee a real challenge to decide what were my plans and goals.  Although once I enrolled at Tidewater Community College like many others I have changed my curriculum once or twice.  the final decision ws to obtain a degree in the Health Profession of Nursing.  I am aware that it will be a long road of studying and writing, but I ha the support from family and friends for my plan to achieve this goal of success.

I am currently enrolled in English 111 online and I have found it flexible to my vigorous lifestyle of full-time employee, wife, and mother.  This has been essential for me and my family. After taking the General Education requirements I will apply for the Nursing program at Tidewater Community College and then eventually transfer to Old Dominion University to obtain my Bachelors Degree.  After graduation from Tidewater Community College I plan to work for a hospital in the Obstetrics and Gynecology or Labor and Delivery department.
