Plans
I
have been a professional musician for the past twenty-two years and decided to
pursue a career in infomation technology. In 1999 I enrolled in an academic program
of study with Southwest Tennessee
Community College (STCC) and have a Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges for
Navy servicemembers (SOCNAV)
agreement to finish my Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Technology
– Communications. Please visit the above links for further information related

Information
Technology - Communications is designed to prepare graduates with the necessary
skills to work in the business information technology networking environments
of today. I have learned hands-on system administration and many technical concepts
needed to provide communications and connectivity to a variety of operating systems
and network operating systems. Areas of study include topologies, cabling, devices,
LAN/WAN and other protocols, standards, server and client system installations,
network management, monitoring, troubleshooting TCP/IP networks.
I
need credit for English 111, Introduction to Psychology, which is my other online
class at Saint Leo University,
Oral Communication, College Algebra, and Statistics to graduate. I do not plan
to register for classes at Tidewater Community College in the future, but I do
plan pursue a Bachelor
of Science in Computer Science at Old
Dominion University after I complete my AAS in Information Technology - Communications.
I also plan to retire from the United States Navy within the next five years and
pursue a career in Information Technology.

Personal
I
serve as a trombone instrumentalist and staff arranger with the United States
Navy and have performed professionally for the past twenty-two years. I also am
a road cycling enthusiast and have provided a few of my favorite personal links.
Activities
I
have been involved with Boy Scouting for most of my life and currently serve as
an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 417 in the Tidewater
Council. I have included a photo of the troop on one of our recent campouts.
